There are so many simple ways to organize your kitchen cabinets. I'm going to share with you today a few simple and inexpensive ways right now.
You probably have one of these file folder sitting in your basement, closet or at the office right now that's not being used. Place it under your cabinet and insert your baking pans, cutting boards or large platters in them. This way you can see them and they are attainable at any moment when needed.

I love this one. We all tend to stick them in a drawer which in my house is valuable real estate for smaller utensils and things. OK Junk! I said it. But we'll get to that later.
Again, I'll bet you have one of these lying around not being used. If now they're inexpensive enough you can get one just about anywhere. The trick is not to forget to get the metal woven one so you can through it as well as put a small screw through the back. Don't get clear plastic as they will crack when attaching to the inside of the cabinet door.
Mine is attached to the inside of my pantry door.

Tension Rods yes! Inexpensive and they can be cut to any size. Pull the rubber end off and cut to size. Note: Remember to cut a little larger than needed to create tension.
These will work to create rows and boundaries for where you want your mugs, glasses, bowls, caned goods etc. to go.
You can even get really crazy and label the edge of the shelf (using a label maker) so the kids, man and yourself will know where to put them away as well.

The trick is to never become overwhelmed with a project. Decide on one thing and make it happen that day. Once you've accomplished it, you'll feel great every time you open that cabinet and you'll realize how simple it will be to pull off another task sooner than later.
Remember: Avoiding effort is more difficult than just going ahead and getting it done. You'll spend more time and energy avoiding, feeling guilty and suffering the consequences of failing to do the work. Guilt is such a useless emotion so, let's get busy today!
